The Maxi 95 is a cleverly designed family cruiser from the board of Pelle Petersen. They are easily handled, with good performance, and have a light and airy interior with two double sleeping cabins separate from the main accommodation. She has a Nanni marine engine that was fitted new in 2007. Tax paid.
Engine: Nanni 3.100HE 29hp, connected direct to a 2 blade folding propeller. Installed in 2007. Great modern engine with more than enough power to get anywhere at 7 Knots. 110 litres stainless steel tank.
The hull is coppercoated. Encapsulated ballast within the Fin keel and skeg hung rudder. Wheel steering.
Accommodation: Six berths, Aft cabin access via the cockpit, Forecabin V Berth and two in the main saloon (with a bench that extends to form a large single). Full standing headroom throughout most of the interior. The engine is located under the main saloon table.
Galley to port. Two burner gas cooker, gas storage the port locker. Stainless steel sink. Pressurised hot and cold water. Top opening fridge. Separate heads. Marine toilet and washbasin.
Storage area under the cockpit which contains the batteries, fuse panels and the calorifier. The calorifier is heated via the engine and can be plugged into the electric hookup and heat via mains electricity.
Domestic batteries, 2 No 85ah batteries, 1 No 110 ah battery. Separate 50ah engine start battery. Majority of central wiring replaced recently. Inverter to charge the battery from mains hookup. Mains 240 sockets powered from electric hookup. Mikuni MY16 diesel warm air heater with outlets in the saloon and the aft cabin. Battery monitor in the saloon.
Sails: Comes with a main and genoa, both in good condition. There is also a storm jib. The boat comes with a cruising chute, although this has a small tear (repair tape bought and ready to patch). The Main is in a stackpack with lazyjacks and the Genoa is on a roller furler.
Two lewmar 40 winches, the port side winch is a recent self-tailing replacement. Three smaller winches on the mast.
Comes with a cockpit enclosure that keeps the entire cockpit area sealed from the elements, from the spray hood to the stern. There is tear in one of the spray hood vision panels that has been patch repaired.
Deck Equipment: Delta 6 anchor with 30 meters of chain and 10 meters of warp. More than enough decent size fenders. Lots of mooring lines and spares. Two boat hooks.
Navigation: Steering compass on the cockpit table. Raymarine tri data for speed and depth. Stowe wind instrument. Furuno gps unit connected to an icom fixed vhf. Autohelm st3000 autopilot.
Safety: Fire extinguisher. Jackstays. 2 No lifejackets. Horseshoe lifebuoy. The Epirb is out of date and not tested. Emergency tiller. Manual bilge pump. Electric bilge pump permanently connected to the batteries. First aid kit. Radar reflector.
Sad to sell the boat, but we won’t be able to use her next season. She is currently ashore in Ipswich and due to launch around end of April (can be earlier if needed). A swing mooring is available if required.
